Singer Whitney Myer is fresh from starring on season two of NBC’s hit television show “The Voice.” A Reno native, Whitney Myer’s innovative soulful, rock style and infectious, audience-engaging stage presence has elevated the young powerhouse singer to ever high levels. Welcomed back from Los Angeles to her home town with sold out shows, she is truly an up and coming star. Whitney Myer is now touring all over the West Coast blazing a trail filled with new fans and followers.
Whitney Myer was raised in a house that was constantly filled with music and her first time singing in public was at a church service at 5 years old. In 2009, the same year she graduated with degrees in Spanish and International Affairs from the University of Nevada, Reno, she released her first CD, “Last Days.” She then released her next CD “Dreamkiller” to a sold out hometown crowd. “Dreamkiller” when on to win the reader’s choice Best Album of the Year in the Reno News and Review, The Whitney Myer Band won Best Band, and Whiney Myer was voted Best Musician.
In August 2010, musician friends directed her to the auditions for season two of “The Voice”. Whitney decided to drive to San Francisco to audition. She was selected to perform out of thousands that tried out. The first show aired February 5th, 2012 on NBC, right after the Super bowl Whitney Myer became an national sensation which hasn’t stopped yet.
